Cookie policy

A full list of what this site stores in your browser, why, and for how long. Nothing that measures or advertises is set until you agree to it.

The short version

Until you press a button on the cookie banner, this site sets nothing beyond what it needs to function. Measurement is off. Advertising is off. Closing the banner with the × is not agreement — it leaves everything off and asks again next time.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any moment through Cookie settings, which sits in the footer of every page.

What is always there

Your language. Stored as lang in local storage so the site does not reset to English every time you open it. No expiry; clearing your browser data removes it.

Your answer to the banner. Stored as el_consent in local storage, together with the date you gave it, so we can prove what was agreed and not ask again on every page. Remove it and the banner returns.

A page-status cache. On city pages, el_pages in session storage holds which city pages are live, so one visit does not make the same lookup on every page. It disappears when you close the tab.

None of these identify you, none are shared, and the site does not work properly without them — which is why they carry no switch.

Only if you allow measurement

Google Analytics 4, property G-BH9Q4CSN73. Sets _ga and _ga_<id>, which last up to two years and count visits and which pages get read. We look at totals, never at individuals.

Refuse, and Google's tag still loads but is told to store nothing — Consent Mode v2 keeps it in a cookieless mode. Accept later and it starts from that moment, not retroactively.

Only if you allow advertising

Nothing yet. EchoLab runs no advertising campaigns at the time of writing, so no advertising cookie is set even if you switch the category on. The switch exists so that consent is already in place, correctly recorded, on the day a campaign does start.

When that day comes, this page is updated before the first advert runs, not after.

Video: only when you press play

Videos on this site are not loaded until you click them. Press play and Vimeo or YouTube receives the request and applies its own cookies and privacy terms. Do not press play and neither is ever contacted.

The same holds for a WhatsApp or social-network link: following it hands you over to that platform, under its rules rather than ours.

Changing your mind

Open Cookie settings in the footer. The panel shows one switch per category and remembers the new answer immediately — withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing.

You can also clear everything in your browser settings, or browse in a private window so nothing survives the session. The site works either way.
